You must be accepted into the ACSR program by making application to Avid Education Services. Prerequisites include MC101, MC110 and MC201. Completion of a Windows introductory course or equivalent experience and a working knowledge of Windows Operating System is also required. In addition, you must have an extensive Windows background including technical and operational hands-on experience.
This five-day course focuses on the integration and support of Avid editing systems, including Avid Media Composer, Avid Symphony, Avid Xpress Pro with Mojo, and Avid Media Composer Adrenaline.
Avid hardware components and configurations are presented and explained. Areas covered include the relationship between the Windows OS and Avid software, troubleshooting concepts, models and tools.
Lab work and exercises provide the necessary practical experience in integrating systems and applying troubleshooting techniques. Topics include: identifying, understanding, and working with PC and Avid hardware and software; installation and configuration of Avid systems; troubleshooting and resolving problems on Avid systems.
