Here we'll address many common problems and issues that Final Cut users may face, and possible solutions. Some of the issues are somewhat vague and hard to diagnose- and users often use the word "buggy" to describe any behavior in Final Cut that is non-standard, strange or erratic. There are also specific issues and for those we'll list specific solutions to try.
"Buggy Behavior"
Let's look at some of the general solutions that may fix, and often times will fix erratic behavior. Not all of these solutions will generally be needed. One at a time, try the following solutions in the order that they are listed. These options are fairly simple and don't require much effort. If you are having problems installing Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Studio, check to see if you are using a correct/compatible combination of software and/or hardware. Look for Compatible Configurations on the front page of Moviola's Resource Center for Final Cut Studio.
Re-installing Software To Clear Up Buggy Behavior
These next options should only be done as a last resort as they are time-consuming. Before attempting this, check out the following sections that deal with problem-solving specific issues. If your issue (and solution) is among one of these, you may not need to re-install any software.
