You must be accepted into the ACSR program by application to Avid Education Services. Prerequisites include MC101, MC110 and MC201. Completion of a Macintosh introductory course or equivalent experience and a working knowledge of Macintosh Operation System 7.5.2 or later is also required. In addition, you must have an extensive Macintosh background, including hands-on technical and operational experience.
This five-day course is the foundation of the program for pre-qualified candidates pursuing certification as an Avid Certified Support Representative.
The MA400 course focuses on techniques to minimize system downtime and maximize productivity. Lab work and role-playing provide the practical experience necessary to identify Macintosh and Media Composer hardware and software problems, to use basic tools for troubleshooting, and to provide first-line support to Avid’s customer base.
Topics include: system software and hardware; basic Macintosh, SCSI, storage, software and hardware troubleshooting; signal flow; and system integration.
