Combining technical and aesthetic information, there is demonstration followed by ample time for hands-on exercises to master dialog editing techniques, various trimming methods, getting the most out of Final Cut's audio mixing tools, media and clip management and more.

- Dialog scene editing techniques.
- Getting the most out of Matchframe for locating, adding and replacing material.
- Replace edit to simplify the task of replacing Timeline clips in sync to Timeline elements.
- Trim Window techniques for creating match cuts, refining timing and trimming on the fly.
- Multi-track trimming to keep multiple tracks in sync while editing and avoiding clip collisions.
- Multi-camera editing to playback and edit multiple camera angles.
- Nesting clips and sequences for various editorial purposes and tips for un-Nesting.
- Other editing techniques include keyboard and numeric trimming, creating effective split edits, using dupe detection, Gang Sync, merging/syncing clips, trimming under transitions and using Extend edit with single and multiple tracks, fixing screen direction errors, and creating timecode window burns of a project.
