Final Cut Pro – Introduction to Effects

This one-day course focuses on techniques for creating the most common effects that are used in video programs, including creating slow and fast motion, split screens and other techniques for compositing images, creative titling, altering the look of the image through video filters and animating effects over time.

Topics include:

• Using Boris Title generators to create sophisticated titles.

• Working with Mattes and other generators.

• Using Master Templates from Motion inside Final Cut Pro to create a theme for titles and other video effects throughout a program.

• Constant speed effects to create fast and slow motion, using forward and reverse motion.

• Creating Freeze Frames.

• Techniques for resizing images, adjusting Opacity, Cropping, and Distort.

• Animating motion and filter effects.

• Using video filters to change the look of an image in a variety of ways, including an introduction to Final Cut Pro's powerful 3-Way Color Corrector filter.

• Using video filters to ensure broadcast safe levels for final output of a video program.
