
Avid Certified Support Representative (ACSR) Training & Testing
Avid ACSR Certification for Windows/Macintosh and Unity
ACSR program participants are trained and certified on the knowledge and skills necessary to perform installations, upgrades, diagnostics, troubleshooting and supporting in a workgroup production or broadcast environment. This multi-certification program is designed to ensure the highest level of technical proficiency and provide a deeper comprehension of the capabilities of Avid products.
There are several benefits to becoming an Avid Certified Support Representative (ACSR) for Editing:

The certification courses for each platfrom are:
Macintosh/Windows System Support (CS400)
Unity MediaNetwork System Support (UN402)
Application Process:
- Students must first be accepted in to the ACSR program by application.
- To begin the process, please complete Avid's application form on the Avid.com web site or contact the Avid Educational Services Coordinator at (978) 275-2071.
- Once you receive your confirmation email from Avid's Educational Services Coordinator, please forward that email to the Moviola Digital Arts Institute. Please be sure to include the dates of the certification course you would like to take.
Prerequisites:
Windows/Macintosh (CS400) Prerequisites – MC101 & MC110. Completion of a Macintosh/Windows introductory course or equivalent experience and a working knowledge of the operating systems also required. In addition, you should have some practical experience with Avid including hands-on technical and operational experience.
Unity (UN402) Prerequisites – Students must have ACSR Windows/Macintosh active status.
Certification Process:
- Upon successful completion of the ACSR 400/402 level course, ACSR candidates are required to pass certification examinations.
- Exams are included as part of the Moviola certification and recertification classes and are administered at Moviola on the final day of class.
The cost of each certification (400/402-level) course is $2750.00. (ETP candidates are required to arrange for their company to pay a $1500 co-pay for each 400/402-level course.)
Avid ACSR Re-certification for Windows/Macintosh and Unity
In order to retain your ACSR status, a two-day re-certification class is required every year.
The Re-certification courses for each platform are:
Macintosh/Windows System Support (CS410)
Unity MediaNetwork System Support (UN412)
Application Process:
- You must be an active ACSR to re-certify.
- Students with certifications that have expired for over one year are required to attend the full 400 level course and are not eligible for the re-certification class.
